Growth + Transformation

I believe people can find healing and transformation, experiencing a greater richness of their life, even within unchangeable limitations or past trauma.

Integrity

I work to keep the commitments I make to myself and others.

Human Dignity

I see the sacred value in every human being and I use the same set of principles with every person.

Mission and Values

Anchored in humility, compassion, and a growth mindset, Megan Borchert Counselling helps clients deepen relationships, overcome obstacles, and find healing in their lives.

* Therapy is often covered by insurance as Megan is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (R.C.C.)

and Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.)*

My approach combines warmth, empathy, honest reflection, and practical insight. I strive to create a space where clients feel both supported and challenged—able to explore difficult experiences, deepen self-awareness, and strengthen their relationships with themselves and others.

My work is informed by evidence-based therapies and foundational theories, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory (Certificate), Family Systems Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and the Gottman Method (Certificate). I am also currently studying Terry Real's Relational Life Therapy (RLT).

Before becoming a counsellor, I navigated significant personal adversity, complex and meaningful family relationships, and a demanding corporate career. These experiences continue to shape how I understand resilience, growth, relationships, and the challenges many people face in balancing personal wellbeing, family demands and professional responsibilities.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, burnout, or seeking greater clarity and connection, I offer a collaborative and compassionate space to support meaningful change.

I see clients in my home office in Trout Creek, Summerland, and also offer virtual sessions
